Grumpy Jeff’s started as a little pub in the Sierra Foothills—a place where the beer was cold, the regulars were rowdy, and Jeff was always, without fail, in a foul mood. The locals came for the drinks, but they stayed for the show: Jeff scowling at customers, complaining about the music, and muttering about how everything was better “back in the day.”
The legend of Jeff’s grumpiness grew almost as fast as the popularity of the first Grumpy Jeff Pub Shirt. The shirt sold out, the pub filled up, and Jeff got even saltier. Eventually, for the safety of everyone involved (and to save Jeff from himself), the pub had to close its doors.
But you can’t keep a good grump down. We moved entirely online, where Jeff still disapproves of nearly everything we do. Now, instead of pouring pints, we pour our energy into apparel that customers love—and Jeff claims to hate. The shirts are popular. Jeff still isn’t. And that’s exactly how we like it
